Este eBook reúne os contributos obtidos no âmbito do Congresso Internacional Na escalada do desejo / On the rise of desire. Julião Sarmento (1948-2021), que teve lugar na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (FBAUL), entre 4 a 6 de Novembro de 2021, resultado de uma organização conjunta do Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (MNAC), da FBAUL, por via do Centro de Estudos e de Investigação em Belas Artes (CIEBA), do Instituto de História de Arte (IHA) da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH). Fruto da diversidade das contribuições coligidas, esta publicação apresenta uma organização tripartida: (I) homenagens, testemunhos e depoimentos; (II) ensaios e estudos; e (III) comunicações selecionadas. This eBook brings together the contributions presented at the International Congress On the Rise of Desire: Julião Sarmento (1948–2021), which took place at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon (FBAUL), from November 4 to 6, 2021. The event was the result of a joint organization by the National Museum of Contemporary Art (MNAC), FBAUL through the Centre for Fine Arts Studies and Research (CIEBA), and the Art History Institute, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa – School of Social Sciences and Humanities (IHA-NOVA FCSH). Reflecting the diversity of the contributions gathered, this publication is structured into three sections: (I) tributes, testimonies, and statements; (II) essays and studies; and (III) selected communications.
