| dc.description.abstract | "Maize is the most important food crop in Mozambique. However, maize production is low and is cyclically impaired due to abiotic stresses such as recurrent droughts (particularly in the arid and semi-arid areas), soil infertility, floods, and cyclones events. Biotic stresses, such as pests and diseases, also affect food production. Altogether, these constraints lead to food insecurity and the need for humanitarian food aid from local and international communities. (...)" | pt_PT |
