Resumo(s)
Technological evolution, a present element in current-day society and economies
worldwide, is a critical factor of success. Companies must be prepared to endure changes to
remain relevant in a world that cannot live without them. However, it is important to remember
that besides technological innovation, a vital part of this ongoing process is the people who make
it possible. Human Capital, the pillar of any organisation, plays a significant role in implementing
new Information Systems, a fact that this study aims to highlight.
With the development of the present work, the goal was not just to generate insights but
to delve deeper into the influence of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) on a
company's core competencies, overall firm performance, and competitive advantages. The
methodology adopted focused on collecting data from various sources by developing a survey
and global knowledge to understand the characteristics and properties of human behaviour and
its influence on the diffusion of knowledge.
