This project report presents a comprehensive analysis of the 3-Way-Match Process. The
objective of this project was to implement the Dumas Business Process Management Lifecycle
Framework. Through meticulous research, data collection, and analysis, this report aims to provide
insights into identify major issues within the process and opportunities for optimization.
The report begins by providing a thorough literature review, exploring the existing
knowledge and best practices in Business Process Management. It examines various theories,
frameworks, and methodologies relevant to the project, establishing a solid foundation for the
subsequent analysis.
The methodology employed in this project involved: stakeholder analysis, modelling,
running virtual simulations amongst other examples. This approach allowed for a systematic
examination of the project's key aspects and facilitated the gathering of relevant data to support
the findings.
The findings of this project highlight the need for mainly optimization of communication
in the process. These findings shed light on the need to improve corporate cooperation and
knowledge transfer between several teams. They provide valuable insights for higher management
to enhance several areas and involved processes.
Throughout the project, several challenges were encountered, such as finding a view of the
process that is true to reality and agreed upon all stakeholders and process executioners or
identifying data for the process simulations. These challenges were addressed through following
best practices and methodologies from this area of research.
The outcomes of this project contribute to the field of BPM by showcasing a BPM project
implemented in a specific sector. This serves as foundation for future research and initiatives in
large scale corporations.
The successful completion of this project was made possible by the collaboration and
support of various individuals and organizations. I would like to express sincere appreciation to
NOVA IMS teachers and staff and also the colleagues at Webasto. In conclusion, this project report presents a comprehensive analysis of the 3-Way-Match Process
and provides valuable insights for the company in terms of this process and similar ones. It serves
as a valuable resource for stakeholders within the company and sets the stage for further
advancements in the projects regarding optimization of processes.
