Setenta e cinco anos após a o texto “Évora Muçulmana”, de José Pedro Machado, de 1948, e depois publicado n’A Cidade d’Évora (1949), e apesar de, desde então, e bem mais recentemente, terem saído alguns trabalhos sobre determinados períodos da Évora islâmica, os quais incidiram principalmente sobre a destruição e a reconstrução da cidade, no início do século X, e também sobre o período das chamadas “taifas almorávidas”, em meados do século XII, ainda assim poucos rostos, poucos indivíduos, têm emergido para todo aquele período entre 712 e 1165. Alguns detentores do poder e Ibn ‘Abdūn são, por norma, quem ilustra e povoa, muito escassamente, quatro séculos e meio de Yābura. Apesar de existirem mais indivíduos, a pedirem ser resgatados e divulgados num futuro que se pretende próximo, entre políticos, juristas, letrados, poetas e místicos relacionados com Évora, por origem, residência ou permanência mais ou menos longa, o que agora nos ocupa é um conjunto de místicos muçulmanos, que vai do século XI ao século XIV. Seventy-five years after the text “Évora Muçulmana”, by José Pedro Machado, at 1948, and later published in “A Cidade d’Évora” (1949), and despite the fact that, since then, and much more recently, some works have been published about certain periods of Islamic Évora, which focused mainly on the destruction and reconstruction of the city, at the beginning of the 10th century, and also on the period of the so-called “Almoravid taifas”, in the middle of the 12th century, even so, few faces, few individuals, have emerged for that entire period between 712 and 1165. Some holders of power and Ibn ‘Abdūn are those who illustrate and populate, very sparsely, four and a half centuries of Yābura. Although there are more individuals, needing a rescued and publicized in the near future, among politicians, jurists, scholars, poets and mystics related to Évora, by origin, residence or more or less long stay, which now concerns us occupies is a group of Muslim mystics, ranging from the 11th to the 14th century.
