Resumo(s)

Telework is a work arrangement that enables employees to work outside the traditional workplace, in a digital form by the usage of information and communication technologies. Some work sectors had already implemented technological structure to support teleworking, but it was the Covid-19 pandemic that forced many companies to adopt this work regime. Nowadays, many questions related to the future of labor market are arising, once employees started to have bargaining power over this matter, this means that, in some cases, the possibility of teleworking influences the decision of accepting or not a new job. Therefore, a research theorical model based on a literature review was proposed to understand the determinant factors that leads employees to choose to telework, rather than the traditional workplace. The model was empirically tested based on data collected in a survey, with one hundred and eighty answers, using PLS-SEM. The results and conclusions contribute and bring useful insights about teleworking preference, from the employee’s perspective, in a post-pandemic society context.
