| dc.description.abstract | This article addresses the very few extant polyphonic church repertory and sources from the late sixteenth century with origin in Évora. The main focus is on P-EVc Ms 12, a fragmentary manuscript possibly from the cathedral, of which the relevant material characteristics are thoroughly examined. The likely authorship of the pieces it contains is also considered on the basis of stylistic and chronological criteria. | en |
