| dc.description.abstract | Os arquivos de família constituem preciosas fontes de informação para numerosos temas de investigação, como o estudo do próprio arquivo; das famílias neles representadas e das suas práticas arquivísticas; do seu papel na construção da memória familiar e na estruturação e consolidação de famílias pré-modernas portuguesas e europeias. A análise da produção informacional das famílias que conservaram estes acervos ao longo dos séculos até aos nossos dias, permite-nos detetar a presença de documentos produzidos por elementos das elites do patriciado urbano portuense desde inícios do século XV - Carneiros, Valadares, Barretos, Delgados. Famílias ligadas entre si por via matrimonial, relacionamento que se proporcionava, em parte, pela própria vizinhança no que diz respeito ao local onde residiam em meados do século XVI - a Rua das Flores. Family archives are important resources for research, such as the study of the archive itself; the study of the families and their archival practices; its role in the construction of family memory and in the structuring and consolidation of pre-modern Portuguese and European families. The analysis of the family’s informational production, preserved for centuries until today, allows us to detect documents produced by elements of the elites of Porto’s urban patriciate since the beginning of the 15th century - Carneiros, Valadares, Barretos, Delgados. Families related through marriage or relationships provided, in part, by the neighborhood regarding the place where they lived in the mid-16th century - Rua das Flores. | en |
