| dc.description.abstract | This thesis aims to explore the relationship between Knowledge Management and Project Management and their influence on project success. In today’s fast-paced environment, where knowledge is the primary source of competitive advantage, it’s crucial for companies to realize the importance of knowledge management; otherwise, it may result in losing to competitors. The study addresses the need for a structured framework that enhances efficiency and success throughout the project life cycle. The research process involved an extensive literature review and interviews with project management experts, revealing both the strengths and limitations of the proposed framework. The framework consists of three key phases: "Before" for proactive process improvement, "During" for critical project management stages, and "After" for post-project knowledge transfer and evaluation. The interviews highlighted the framework's potential to bridge communication gaps, facilitate knowledge transfer, and improve project success rates. However, challenges were identified, such as the lack of information on the KM-PM intersection and potential resistance to cultural and organizational changes in large organizations. Future research should involve practical testing and validation of the framework in real-world business cases. | pt_PT |
