RESUMO - Revê-se o conceito de mecanismos de coordenação observáveis
em organizações complexas tais como as unidades de
cuidados de saúde. Especial atenção é dada à governação
mediante acordos contratuais no interior de novas configurações
centradas na eficiência, inovação, legitimidade e
justiça distributiva. Sustenta-se que o factor mais importante
para um equilíbrio entre objectivos nem sempre compatíveis
reside no grau de confiança interna dentre os diferentes
actores sociais que operam o sistema global.
ABSTRACT - A review is made about the coordination mechanisms currently used in complex organizations such as health care units. A particular attention is given to the governance through contractual agreements within novel network configurations aiming at insuring efficiency, innovation, legitimacy, and distributive justice. It is argued that the most important factor to achieve a reasonable trade-off between those not always compatible aims is the amount of internal trust among different social actors operating the overall system.
