artigo.
The present paper interprets and transcribes an important late fourteenth-‐century documentary fragment. The original document was likely a record of an audit by the royal officers, but its considerable importance lies in providing the details of a hitherto unkwnon fractional coin: the peelado. The paper identifies the date, the political and fiscal contex and the treasurer that organised the minting of this coin.
