Este livro reúne os textos das comunicações apresentadas no Colóquio Internacional Martinho Lutero e o Novo Rosto Político-Religioso da Europa que decorreu em 2017 na NOVA FCSH e na Universidade dos Açores. A partir da evocação dos 500 anos da afixação das “95 teses” contra a venda de Indulgências, debateram-se, para além deste acontecimento, do seu significado e impacto, o processo histórico que dele decorreu e que culminou, por um lado, no redesenhar do mapa europeu político-religioso, e, por outro, no estabelecer das estruturas religiosas do mundo ultramarino sob influência europeia. This book brings together the texts of communications presented at the International Colloquium Martin Luther and the New Political-Religious Face of Europe that took place in 2017 at NOVA FCSH and the University of the Azores. In the conference commemorating the 500 years of the publication of the “Ninety-five Theses” against the selling of indulgences, a discussion was carried out not only of the actual event, but also its significance and impact, the historical process that ensued and culminated, on one hand, in a redrawing of the political and religious map of Europe, and on the other, in the establishment of religious structures in overseas territories under European influence.
