O objectivo deste estudo é contar uma história: a história textual da «poesia
completa» organizada e publicada por Herberto Helder, em vida. Como é sabido, o
autor praticou muitas alterações textuais em cada obra que publicou, fazendo com
que o texto primeiro se transformasse num outro texto. Pretende-se, assim, fazer
um percurso histórico por toda a sua obra poética, tendo como ponto de partida a
primeira edição da sua «poesia completa». Serão apontadas todas as alterações
textuais que tiveram lugar até se chegar à forma final de cada texto (último volume
de «poesia completa» publicado pelo autor, em vida). Do mesmo modo, verificar-se-
-á o que foi retirado deste último volume, sendo indicada, também, a última obra na
qual esse texto surgiu pela última vez, bem como a sua história textual própria.
The objective of this study is to tell a story: the textual history of the «whole poetry» organized and published by Herberto Helder during his lifetime. As is known, the author has made numerous textual modifications in every text he published, causing the first text to become another text. It is intended, therefore, to make a historical journey throughout this poetic work, taking as its starting point the first edition of Helder’s «whole poetry». This study will display all the textual changes that have taken place until they have reached the final shape of each text (the last volume of the «whole poetry» published by the author during his life). Similarly, it will also be checked and indicated what has been taken out of the last volume, the last work in which that text appeared for the last time, as well as its own textual history.
