Dezasseis anos após a grande intervenção arqueológica na Praça da Figueira, surgem novos dados relativos ao universo funerário da Necrópole Noroeste de Olisipo. Tendo subjacente uma abordagem transdisciplinar, foram analisados os dados relativos aos trabalhos arqueológicos, escavados e estudados os restos ósseos humanos as estruturas funerárias e respetivo espólio material associado. O cruzamento destes dados com a informação obtida a partir dos registos estratigráfico e fotográfico, permitiu identificar padrões de inumação que se destacam e suscitam uma especial atenção. Pretende-se, desta forma, apresentar explicações passiveis de caracterizar estas inumações que, desde logo, se apresentam como fora da norma verificada naquele contexto. Sixteen years after the major archaeological intervention in Praça da Figueira, data on the funerary universe of the Olisipo Northwest Necropolis starts to emerge. Focussing on a transdisciplinary approach, the archaeological and anthropological records were analysed, the human skeletal remains were excavated in laboratory and the funerary structures and respective grave goods were studied. The results of these data with the information obtained from the stratigraphic and photographic records allowed the identification of some burial patterns which require a special attention. The aim is to present possible explanations to characterize these burials that clearly differ from the norm found in that context.
