Resumo(s)
Urban peripheries, identities and circulation of cultural objects in Luanda The metropolitan areas in many African cities have shown a growing number of displaced populations or in search of long-term housing solutions. These days, the pressure of urban construction implies, notably in cities like Luanda, the de-localization of a significant part of the peripheral neighborhoods, turning them into ultra-peripheral sites. This situation impacts socioeconomic regulation, forces new forms of identification with the transitional spaces and it also changes existing means of production and circulation of cultural objects. In our text we also elaborate on some of the current processes associated with new modalities of hyper-textualization and of semiotic adjustment of cultural objects (literary, artistic, musical) in this context. We will draw comparative references when appropriate.
