O Discurso Legitimador sobre o Ambiente: a Política e a Floresta Amazônica

Abstract

A presente tese é o resultado do estudo do fenômeno do poder aludido à Floresta Amazônica. Ao considerar que a Ciência Política ressalta os aspectos práticos do exercício do poder e que as ideias são legitimadas nas discussões políticas, este trabalho pretende analisar os discursos políticos dos agentes governamentais e não governamentais acerca das políticas públicas ambientais em relação à Floresta Amazônica, apresentar os principais argumentos das retóricas sobre a Floresta, assim como identificar se há diferenças nos discursos governamentais e não governamentais e verificar se as políticas públicas sobre a Floresta Amazônica têm cumprido o seu propósito. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa, sendo utilizado o questionário como instrumento de coleta de dados. Após análise dos resultados, foi possível constatar que existem discursos legitimados sobre a Floresta Amazônica, os quais não condizem com a sua realidade.

This thesis is the result of the study of the power phenomenon when alluded to the Amazon forest. By considering that political science emphasizes the practical aspects of the exercise of power and that ideas are legitimized in political discussions, this paper intends to discuss the political speeches of government officials and non- governmental organizations on environmental public policies in relation to the Amazon rainforest , to present the main argument rhetoric about the forest, as well as to identify whether there are differences in government and non- government speeches, and that public policies on the Amazon rainforest have fulfilled its purpose. The used methodology was a qualitative one, and the questionnaire was used as data collection instrument. After analyzing the results, it was possible to realize that there are legitimate speeches about the Amazon rainforest, which do not correspond to the Forest’s reality.
