Lisboa através do olhar dos desenhadores urbanos: perceber a cidade um desenho de cada vez

Abstract

Este trabalho desenvolve-se em duas partes, a primeira tem o objetivo de estudar as relações entre arte, cidade e memória urbana, especificamente pela ótica do movimento de desenhadores urbanos, identificados como Urban Sketchers, e a cidade de Lisboa. Esse coletivo integra uma Associação, que realiza encontros para desenhar em grupo, em diferentes locações pela cidade. Os desenhos devem ser de observação e realizados in loco, a seguir são compartilhados online, acompanhados de relatos dos seus autores. O trabalho investiga a história do grupo, as motivações dos participantes e desdobramentos na relação com a cidade, por meio de consulta a livros, artigos, revistas e principalmente, por uma aprofundada pesquisa no blog mantido pela Associação, A segunda parte do trabalho, apresenta um projeto expositivo para o acervo dos urban sketchers referente à Lisboa. O projeto tem a proposta de desenvolver um modelo, partindo da construção de uma linha do tempo, do movimento na cidade, a contar a história dos encontros, a produção artística e o contexto temporal. Para dar maior visibilidade ao movimento, pleitear o seu reconhecimento como arte urbana e viabilizar uma nova fonte de estudo do espaço urbano, a proposta considera três modalidades de exposição: física, virtual e de rua.

This work is divided into two parts. The first part aims to study the relationships between art, the city and urban memory, specifically from the perspective of the urban designers movement, known as Urban Sketchers, and the city of Lisbon. This collective is part of an Association that organizes meetings for group drawing in different locations throughout the city. The drawings must be observational and made on site, and are then shared online, with accounts from their authors. The work investigates the history of the group, the motivations of the participants and developments in the relationship with the city, through publications in books, articles, magazines, and mainly, through in-depth research on the blog maintained by the Association. The second part of the work presents an exhibition project for the urban sketchers' collection related to Lisbon. The project aims to develop a model, based on the construction of a timeline of the movement in the city, to tell the story of the meetings, the artistic production and the temporal context. To give greater visibility to the movement, advocate its recognition as urban art and provide a new source of study of urban space, the proposal considers three exhibition modalities: physical, virtual and street.
