Após analisar os acanna da família Laelaptidae, parasitas dos vertebrados da região etíope, os autores criaram um novo género Turkiella para os parasitas Androlaelaps.
No Haemolealaps Berlise da mesma região, são descritas três novas espécies: H. hystrici, H. eloffi e H. natalensis.
O artigo é acompanhado de chaves para a classificação de ambos os géneros referidos da região etíope.
Having reviewed the acanna of the Laelaptidae family, parasites of the vertebrates of the Ethiopian Region, the authors created a new Turkiella genus to the parasites Androlaelaps. ln the Haemolealaps Berlise of the sarne region three new species are described: H. hystrici, H. eloffi, and H. natalensis. The paper is accompanied with keys for the classification of both the genus referred to of the Ethiopian Region.
