Os elementos que constam deste desprimoroso trabalho foram respigados na observação de alguns assuntos em trânsito pela Repartição
de Saúde do Ministério e adquiridos no contacto directo com a vida do médico do Ultramar.
Não constam estatísticas nem ideias novas que embelezem e confiram valor, por essa contribuição estar mais adstrita aos sectores de saúde de cada uma das Províncias. Desejamos somente satisfazer as repetidas insistências do Instituto de Medicina Tropical em colaborarmos com alguns breves apontamentos, no 50º aniversário da sua fundação e do Hospital do Ultramar.
The elements contained in this unremarkable work were gleaned from observations of certain issues passing through the Ministry's Health Department and acquired through direct contact with the life of an overseas doctor. There are no statistics or new ideas to embellish and add value, as this contribution is more restricted to the health sectors of each of the provinces. We only wish to satisfy the repeated requests of the Institute of Tropical Medicine to collaborate with some brief notes on the 50th anniversary of its foundation and that of the Overseas Hospital.
