Os Serviços de Psiquiatria foram inaugurados em Angola em 1947 com a chegada de pessoal especializado da Metrópole, começando a funcionar em instalações precárias.
O plano atual de assistência com a Nova Clínica de Psiquiatria em construção com capacidade para 180 camas, que será inaugurada no mês de maio de 1952.
A criação de um serviço de visitas periódicas aos principais centros populacionais da província, em regime de dispensário.
O problema da adaptação e integração funcional de indivíduos colocados em habitat estrangeiro. Patogénese e patoplasia. Reações ambientais, seus fatores intrínsecos e extrínsecos. Dados psicossociais do problema da colonização e suas consequências sob o aspecto político e económico.
Estudo comparativo das alterações e anomalias mentais nas raças autóctones. Um maior número de reações primárias frequentes da personalidade. Formas raras de integração complexa. Psicose situacional. Psicose reativa e afetiva.
SUMMARY The Psychiatry Services in Angola were started in 1947 when the specialised staff carne from the metropolis and their activities began in very deficient instalations. Actual plan for the assistance with the new Psychiatric Clinic in construction, with 180 beds, to be open in May 1952. Settlement of a service of periodical visits of the doctors to the principal populations of the territory, in regímen of dispensary. Statistics of the activity of the services from 1947 to 1951. Problem of adaptation and adjustment to their activities of persons settled in a different habitat. Pathogeny and pathoplastics. Reaction towards the ambient; their intrínseca] and extrinsical factors. Social psychological data on the problem of colonisation and their results in the política! and economical aspect. Comparative study of the mental alterations and abnormalities in the autochthonous races. Major frequency of the primary reactions of personatlity. Rarity of complex integration forms. Situation psychosis. Reactive and affective psychosis.
