Les auteurs présentent les résultats d’une “enquête éthnographique sur l’alimentation” effectuée en Guinée Portugaise, fondés sur une inquistion faite par la Sectin d’Alimentation de Institut de Médecine Tropicale.
Les auteurs font un inventairee des aliments usuels et commentent les aspects suivants: caractéristiques des repas, alimentations des vieux et des infirmes, préparations et distribution de repas, recherche et conservation des aliments, tabous et rites alimentaires, boissons et excitants usuels, et bien aussi les instruments utilisés par les groupements ethniques de la Province.
The authors report the results of an inquest made by the Nourishment Section of the Institute of Tropical Medicine. The authors make an inventory of the usual foods and comment on the following aspects: characteristics of the meals, nourishment of the age and the ill, preparation and distribution of the food, procuring and conservation of foodstuffs, alimentary taboos and rites, common drinks and excitants, as well as the instruments used by the ethnic groups of the Province.
