Resumo(s)
"Microbes inhabit almost every corner of our planet, affecting the health of their habitats and hosts. They can form diverse communities—microbiomes—where microorganisms, from all domains of life and viruses, live together for long periods of time. If on one hand microbes are key for an ecosystem’s welfare, on the other hand they can represent major threats and lead the same ecosystems to an end. For the good and the bad, understanding and controlling microbes are some of the major scientific challenges of the present times."
