Em meados de 1959 foi feito, na Ilha do Príncipe, um tratamento com Ditiazanina, 92 pessoas infectadas com ascárides, tricocéfalos, estrongiloides e ancilostomódeos, tendo-se revelado um anti-helmíntico útil no tratamento de casos em que se constata uma infecção múltipla pelos três primeiros parasitas. A acção do medicamento sobre os ancilostomídeos mostrou-se muito fraca.
En Juin – Juillet de 1959 on a réalisé, à l’Île du Prince, un traitement avec la Ditiazanine, sur 92 personnes contaminées par les parasites suivants: ascaris, trichocéphales, strongyloides et ancylostomidés; le médicament s’est révél´un anti-helminthique três utile dans les cas où on vérifie une infection multiple provoquée para les trois premiers parasites. Son action sur les ancylostomidés s’est montrée três faible.
In the middle of the year 1959 a treatment with Ditiazanina was preformed in 92 individuals infected by Ascaris, trichocephalus, Strongyloides and ancylostomidae, in the Principe Island. This anthelminthic was observed to be efficient in the treatment of cases of multiple infection by the three former parasites. The action of the drug was very weak on the ancylostomidae.
