These new technologies have profound implications for the way we live, work, and interact with each other. For this reason, the 3rd Conference on Testing and Experimentation in Civil Engineering (TEST&E 2022), was focused on the way Smart Technologies affect the development of Civil Engineering in all its different areas. Those technologies assume an increasingly predominant role in all Civil Engineering activities, in the planning and design phases, construction, maintenance and management of the built environment. The permanent evolution of testing and experimentation in Civil Engineering will decisively contribute to integrating these new technologies.The TEST&E 2022 was organized by the NOVA School of Science & Technology (FCT NOVA), together with the Association of Accredited Laboratories of Portugal (RELACRE) and the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), and it took place at the Campus of Caparica of FCT NOVA, from 21st – 23rd June 2022. This conference aimed to provide a broad forum for the dissemination and sharing of knowledge and experiences among its participants in the areas of research and teaching, industry, and services, under the main theme of Smart Technologies. This book presents the conference proceedings, with 98 extended abstracts by 324 authors, and is organized according to the following topics: 1. Destructive and non-destructive testing 2. Biomaterials, nanomaterials and new material 3. Modeling (calibration, simulation) and validation of models 4. New sensors and technologies (photogrammetry, laser scanning, drones, wireless) 5. Inspection, monitoring and automatic damage identification 6. 3D modeling, 3D printing and artificial intelligence applications 7. Miscellaneous The editors express their greatest gratitude: to the authors, for their confidence in the dissemination of their work in this congress; to the Scientific Committee, for the contribution given to the technical and scientific quality of the articles; to the Local Organizing Committee and the Executive Committee, for guaranteeing the successful completion of the congress. Associado I3N); DCEA - Departamento de Ciências e Engenharia do Ambiente; MARE - Centro de Ciências do Mar e do AmbienteO presente Guia para a Construção Sustentável em Empreendimentos Turísticos, organizado em diversos capítulos e anexos, tem como objetivo ser uma ferramenta útil para todos os empreendimentos turisticos, potenciando a adoção de práticas eco-eficientes na conceção, construção, operação e reabilitação das infraestruturas desses empreendimentos. Inclui o resultado de questionário realizado aos empreendimentos turísticos em Portugal e a análise de dois casos de estudo. Pretende-se contribuir para tornar o empreendimento mais sustentável, com menor consumo de recursos, maior benefício económico, social e ambiental.

A terra foi o primeiro material a ser utilizado na Antiguidade para a formulação de argamassas para construção. Este caderno trata dos rebocos de terra e das argamassas e acabamentos que os constituem e pretende ajudar o leitor a entender questões relativas à viabilidade de concepção, aplicação, reparação e substituição de rebocos. Procura ser esclarecedor para todos os leitores que queiram experimentar a aplicação de um reboco eco-eficiente.Neste livro, a designação “rebocos de terra” abrange os rebocos realizados maioritariamente com base em terra argilosa ou rebocos em cuja composição a terra desempenha um papel preponderante.Esta edição conta com o apoio da Direcção Regional de Cultura do Alentejo e com o apoio institucional da Associação Centro da Terra.
- Ligações rígidas em estruturas pré-fabricadasPublication . Rodrigues, Carlos Chastre; Lúcio, Valter José da Guia; DEC - Departamento de Engenharia CivilO processo produtivo de estruturas com elementos pré-fabricados difere significativamente do das estruturas betonadas em obra pelo facto de uma parte, ou a totalidade, dos elementos da estrutura serem produzidos em fábrica, em condições de produção melhoradas em relação às condições da obra e serem, posteriormente, transportados para a obra, onde são, finalmente, ligados entre si. O objetivo deste capítulo é apresentar o trabalho que os autores têm vindo a desenvolver sobre este assunto. Na Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (UNL) têm-se efetuado trabalhos no âmbito das ligações viga-pilar, pilar-fundação, parede resistente-fundação e painel de fachada-pilar. Os trabalhos desenvolvidos têm como objetivo não só estudar o comportamento das ligações para ações estáticas mas, em alguns casos, estudar também o seu comportamento para as ações sísmicas.
