Resumo(s)
"Type II NADH:quinone oxidoreductases (NDH-2s) are membrane bound enzymes involved in respiratory chains. They contribute to the regeneration of NAD(P)+, allowing several metabolic pathways to proceed. These enzymes do not translocate charges across the membrane and thus do not contribute directly to the generation of the transmembrane difference in the electrochemical potential. NDH-2s are members of the so-called two- dinucleotide binding domain flavoprotein (tDBDF) superfamily, which are characterized by having NAD(P)H- and flavin-binding domains, with identical structural Rossmann folds.
