RESUMO - Em 1994, a Rede de Médicos Sentinela portuguesa decidiu
na sua reunião nacional introduzir o tema hepatite. Ao fim
de três anos de notificação fez-se a análise dos dados (1995-
1997).
Verificou-se uma incidência de 28/105 para a hepatite B e
de 16/105 para a hepatite C.
A incidência da hepatite foi superior nos grupos etários dos
15-34 anos, sendo no sexo masculino cerca de duas vezes
mais do que no feminino. Estudadas as possíveis categorias
de transmissão implicadas, verificou-se ser o sexo de risco
e a toxicodependência as principais implicadas. Foi de realçar
também a grande discrepância em relação aos dados
obtidos pelo sistema nacional das Declarações Obrigatórias,
e uma incidência preocupante no distrito do Porto.
ABSTRACT - Since 1994, the Portuguese general practitioners sentinel network, decided to introduce the hepatitis disease in their continuous notification. After 3 years, we are doing those data analysis (1995- 1997). We verified for hepatitis B an incidence of 28/105 and 16/105 for hepatitis C. Hepatitis incidence was higher among 15-34 years old, and twice more at masculine then feminine sex. Studied the transmission categories possible involved, we verified that sex risk and toxicodependence were the primes involved. It was setted off the big discrepancy among data from the national obligatory declarations (DDO), and Sentinels Network data, and further a worring incidence at Porto’s district.
