Referente ao estudo do meio ambiente diz o Prof. Fraga de Azevedo: Com a iniciativa que vem de ser exposta crê o Instituto que presta um estimável serviço aos médicos do Ultramar e ao tomar a seu cargo a responsabilidade desta nova tarefa dirige-lhes as suas melhores homenagens, pois nunca pode esquecer quanto é valiosa a sua acção a favor da protecção da vida do Homem nos territórios portugueses de Além-Mar.
Regarding the study of the environment, Prof. Fraga de Azevedo says: With the initiative that has just been presented, the Institute believes that it is providing an invaluable service to doctors overseas and, by taking on the responsibility for this new task, it pays them the highest tribute, as it can never forget how valuable their work is in protecting human life in Portuguese overseas territories.
