In recent years, technological advancements have driven innovation, modernization and organizational growth across the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). Nonetheless, despite the acknowledged advantages of industry-tailored management systems, their deployment within CCIs has been scarcely investigated. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA protocol, this study (i) evaluates the current utilization of management systems within cultural and creative organizations (CCOs), (ii) identifies CCO-oriented system requirements and design approaches, and (iii) examines advanced technologies for system optimization. In total, this SLR reviewed twenty-three journal articles, published between 2014 and 2024, and ranging across multiple Cultural Domains (UNESCO Institute for Statistics, 2009). A preliminary Bibliometric Analysis was performed on five bibliometric indicators, which supplemented the Results and Analysis section, wherein the findings were synthesized into three primary dimensions - Systems and Functions, System Design, and Intelligent Optimization. The resultant insights prompted the construction of two conceptual frameworks: (i) a Research Trajectories framework, meant to inspire upcoming studies in this research field, and (ii) an innovative Design Agenda, which devises strategic recommendations for new, industry-tailored and CCO-oriented integrated management systems.en
