| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo estudar o uso de argumentação verbo-visual em gêneros jurídicos. A partir de trabalho de corpus e com base nos estudos e categorias da Retórica, da Semiótica Social, da Linguística Social e da Análise do discurso, foi realizada pesquisa acerca da argumentação retórica verbo-visual em uma petição inicial em processo de recuperação judicial de empresa. Como conclusão, o uso das teorias e categorias selecionadas permitiu concluir o uso retórico-argumentativo das imagens – principalmente imagens de brinquedos e gráficos -, para a construção do ethos (da empresa) e do pathos (do juiz). This research aims to study the use of verbal-visual argumentation in legal genres. Based on corpus method and on studies and categories from Rhetoric, Social Semiotics, Social Linguistics and Discourse Analysis, we analyze the verbal-visual rhetorical argumentation in filing bankruptcy in the context of reorganization of a corporation. As a result, the use of selected theories and categories allowed concluding the rhetorical-argumentative use of images – mainly images of toys and 106 graphics - for the construction of ethos (of the company) and pathos (of the judge). | en |
