The pricing of access to bottleneck facilities is often ruled by the Ef-ficient Component Pricing Rule (ECPR) due to its simplicity even though, from an economic-efficiency standpoint, the ECPR is known to be other than optimal in most instances. We propose a new pricing rule that, while equally simple to implement and informationally undemanding, enhances economic efficiency beyond what is achieved with the ECPR whenever the entrants are no less efficient than the incumbent.
