dc.description.abstractEste texto é uma contribuição para um roteiro da imprensa periódica em Timor-Leste entre 1900 e 2002. São cento e dois anos de cronologia do país marcados pela emergência de uma imprensa periódica tardia, esporádica e fortemente marcada pela presença de um número restrito de atores sociais. O objetivo deste trabalho exploratório é disseminar o saber sobre esta matéria e permitir um melhor conhecimento e reflexão sobre o papel e função da imprensa periódica nos diversos tempos da história de Timor-Leste. This text is a contribution to a guide of the periodical press in East Timor between 1900 and 2002. One hundred and two years of the country’s chronology were marked by the emergence of a late, sporadic periodical press, strongly marked by the presence of a restricted number of social actors. The aim of this exploratory work is to disseminate knowledge on this subject and allow for a better understanding of and reflection on the role and function of the periodical press in the different periods of East Timor history.en
