| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo principal de este artículo es hacer hincapié en uno de los argumentos principales en la estética del retrato en el tiempo de Constantino. La importancia del neoplatonismo, desde época del emperador Galieno, tuvo una gran relevancia en la formación del espíritu religioso, filosófico y estético de Roma. A través de un estricto acercamiento a los textos filosóficos que nos revelan la estética del siglo IV, nos proponemos reconstruir la espiritualidad que definió un tiempo fundamental en el nacimiento de una concepción del arte y del ser humano en Roma. The main objective of this article is to highlight one of the main arguments in the aesthetics of the portrait in the time of Constantine. The importance of neo-Platonism, from time of Emperor Gallienus, had a great impact on the formation of religious, philosophical and aesthetic spirit of Rome. Through a strict approach to philosophical texts that reveal the beauty of the fourth century, we propose to reconstruct the spirituality that defined a crucial time in the birth of a conception of art and the human being in Rome. | en |
