Os Serviços de Saúde da Província têm a estrutura geral estabelecida pelo Decreto n.º 34.417, de 21 de Fevereiro de 1945, que reorganizou os Serviços de Saúde do Ultramar. Adiante se dá a relação dos Regulamentos e mais legislação publicada.
Há a Repartição Provincial; um Hospital Central na capital da Província; duas Delegacias de Saúde (uma em cada concelho) e 10 Postos Sanitários (um em cada Vila da Ilha de S. Tomé).
Além disso existe o Dispensário Anti-Tuberculoso que é a sede da luta contra a tuberculose.
Está legislado o serviço de combate à lepra.
Os quadros de pessoal correspondem também ao estabelecido pelo Decreto n.º 34.417, com um Quadro Médico Comum, Quadro Complementar de Cirurgiões e Especialistas, Quadro Farmacêutico Comum, e os quadros privativos administrativo, de enfermagem, de laboratório, Raios X, Farmácia e de Serviços gerais.
The Provincial Health Services have the general structure established by Decree No. 34,417 of 21 February 1945, which reorganised the Overseas Health Services. Below is a list of the Regulations and other published legislation. There is a Provincial Office; a Central Hospital in the provincial capital; two Health Delegations (one in each municipality) and 10 Health Posts (one in each town on the island of São Tomé). In addition, there is the Anti-Tuberculosis Dispensary, which is the headquarters for the fight against tuberculosis. The service for combating leprosy is regulated by law. Staffing levels also comply with Decree No. 34,417, with a General Medical Staff, Complementary Staff of Surgeons and Specialists, General Pharmaceutical Staff, and separate administrative, nursing, laboratory, X-ray, pharmacy and general services staff.
