Não Só Ciência: planeamento de um festival de Astronomia com outros elementos culturais

Abstract

O presente relatório resulta de um estágio de três meses no Grupo de Comunicação de Ciência do Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço. Aqui é apresentado o trabalho desenvolvido durante o período de estágio, tanto no que respeita à participação nas atividades regulares do grupo, como ao planeamento de um festival de Astronomia com outros elementos culturais relacionados à temática. É também apresentada a instituição de acolhimento e a fundamentação teórica que sustenta todo o trabalho desenvolvido no estágio. De forma a planear o festival, aplicaram-se diversas metodologias no decurso deste trabalho. Foram realizados questionários presenciais e online ao potencial público da iniciativa e dinamizou-se um grupo de foco multidisciplinar para apoiar o desenvolvimento de possíveis atividades para o festival. Foram ainda estudados outros festivais recorrendo, sempre que possível, à realização de entrevistas aos responsáveis pela sua organização. Com este trabalho foi possível definir uma proposta de festival, que define a sua estrutura, objetivos, conceito, posicionamento e canais de comunicação e avaliação de impacto.

This report is the result of a three-month internship in the Science Communication Group of the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences. Here is presented the work developed during the internship period, both regarding the participation in the groups’ regular activities, and the planning of an Astronomy festival with other cultural elements related to the theme. It also presents the host institution and the theoretical foundation that supports all the work developed during the internship. In order to plan the festival, several methodologies were applied in the course of this work. Questionnaires were implemented in person and online to the potential public of the initiative and a multidisciplinary focus group was arranged to support the development of possible activities that can make up the festival. It was also studied other festivals using, whenever possible, interviews with those responsible for its organization. With this work, it was possible to define a festival proposal, which defines its structure, objectives, concept, positioning and communication channels, and impact evaluation.
