Jornalismo Online: Uma nova forma de fazer jornalismo ou um complemento do que já existe

Abstract

O jornalismo online, ou ciberjornalismo, existe há quase 20 anos. É dos media com mais potencialidades, pois consegue apenas numa plataforma conjugar imagem, som e texto, com todas as vantagens que daí advêm. Começou por ser vítima de “bulling” dos media tradicionais que o viam com muito ceticismo e até com desprezo. Contudo, este jornalismo sem fronteiras geográficas e temporais tem vindo a conquistar o seu lugar numa sociedade cada vez mais dependente da tecnologia. Resta saber se esta evolução faz do online uma forma diferente de fazer jornalismo ou se este não é mais do que um complemento do jornalismo impresso. Um confronto entre o tradicional e o novo, em grande parte entrevisto da revista Sábado, onde, durante três meses, pudemos observar de perto como funciona o mundo do online.

Online journalism or cyberjournalism started almost 20 years ago. It's one of the media with the most prospects, because it can conjugate image, sound and text in just one platform and its advantages. It started has a bullying victim of the traditional media, which saw it with great scepticism and even with contempt. However, this journalism without geographical and time frontiers has been conquering its place in a society increasingly dependent of technology. We still have to find out if this evolution makes the online a different way of doing journalism or if it's just a complement of print media. A confront between the traditional and the new, seen in the eyes of Sábado Newsmagazine, where for three months we could closely follow how the online world of journalism works.
