| Abstract: | Scholarly communication is undergoing fundamental changes, in particular with new requirements for open access to research outputs, new forms of peer-review, and alternative methods for measuring impact. For every repository manager, collecting metrics is relevant to optimise, operate, and enhance their repository and to demonstrate its value to authors. Additionally, altmetrics services collecting data from social media services came up. The major challenge is to understand the wide range of services for usage data, to compare the outcomes across systems and benchmark them against each other. |
