A inclusão no sistema escolar português: Estudo de Caso sobre mecanismos de inclusão de alunos imigrantes em Agrupamento de Escolas do Algarve

Abstract

A presente investigação explora o papel fundamental da promoção de boas práticas por parte de docentes de primeiro ciclo, bem como a sua importância dentro da comunidade escolar e do contexto educativo. Deste modo, a investigação reporta as boas práticas promovidas pelas docentes entrevistadas, sublinhando o papel fundamental dos agentes educativos para a inclusão de alunos imigrantes. A investigação baseia-se em entrevistas semiestruturadas com docentes do primeiro ciclo do Agrupamento de Escolas José Belchior Viegas, localizado no concelho de São Brás de Alportel, distrito de Faro. A análise qualitativa dos dados procura compreender obstáculos à inclusão na comunidade escolar, as estratégias institucionais do agrupamento para a inclusão de alunos imigrantes, barreiras e dificuldades em contexto de sala de aula, as estratégias implementadas pelas docentes, bem como o envolvimento com os encarregados de educação. Através deste estudo visa-se a disseminação das boas práticas implementadas pelo Agrupamento, respetivas docentes e colocar a questão da inclusão de alunos imigrantes em reflexão a nível concelhio, pelo agrupamento e instituições locais, bem como a nível distrital pelos agrupamentos da região. Por fim, reflete-se sobre a importância de políticas inclusivas e estratégias educativas para responder às necessidades dos alunos imigrantes, reconhecendo a importância da aprendizagem e do domínio da língua portuguesa para a inclusão e participação na comunidade educativa e na sociedade.

This research explores the fundamental role of promoting good practices by primary school teachers, as well as their importance within the school community and the educational context. In this way, the research reports on the good practices promoted by the teachers interviewed, emphasising the fundamental role of educational agents in the inclusion of immigrant pupils. The research is based on semi-structured interviews with primary school teachers from the José Belchior Viegas School Group, located in the municipality of São Brás de Alportel, in the district of Faro. The qualitative analysis of the data seeks to understand obstacles to inclusion in the school community, the institutional strategies of the grouping for the inclusion of immigrant students, barriers and difficulties in the classroom context, the strategies implemented by the teachers, as well as the involvement with parents. With this study is possible to disseminate the good practices implemented by the school and its teachers and to raise the issue of the inclusion of immigrant pupils at the municipal level, by the school and local institutions, as well as at the district level by the schools in the region. Finally, it reflects on the importance of inclusive policies and educational strategies to meet the needs of immigrant students, recognizing the importance of learning and mastering the Portuguese language for inclusion and participation in the educational community and in society.
