Abstract: This case describes the investment decision of Otávio one day before Airbnb's planned IPO. Airbnb is a young, high-growth company that offers an online marketplace and booking services for property owners who want to rent out their spaces. After initial difficulties, Airbnb became the world's largest online accommodation marketplace. Despite this, Airbnb has never managed to make a net profit on an annual basis. Shortly before Airbnb's planned stock exchange debut, the market recovered. Otávio is not sure if it is just a bubble or if Airbnb is an attractive long-term investment
