Abstract: This investigation analyses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Private Equity investment levels, with a focus on European deals. By employing regression analysis, it has been found that Private Equity lowered their investment activity in Europe due to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic. Moreover, the current literature on the topic and some surveys have been studied to have some qualitative proof regarding the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the private equity industry. Finally, has been analysed some outlook of the Private Equity industry's resilience to the economic crisis.
