Abstract: In this article, we present the analysis of the different historical processes related to the administrative and territorial evolution of the ancient Roman Lusitania from a diachronic perspective.A line of study for which an investigation defined by the critical examination of the main written documents and materials concerning this subject has been proposed. In this way, we intend, within the space granted in this volume, to present and analyse the main issues related to the configuration of this Roman province from its creation until the Islamic conquest of 711.
