Diálogo entre História e Gênero

Abstract

O presente artigo tem por objetivo colocar em diálogo questões sobre gênero enquanto categoria analítica no campo da História, de forma a problematizar e discutir o estudo sobre mulheres operárias no período revolucionário português, especificamente o caso de autogestão da empresa Sogantal. Portugal rompe com um regime de cunho fascista que já durara quase meio século, findando este período com o 25 de Abril de 1974. Este período é marcadamente importante na história do país sob uma experiência revolucionária, com diretrizes para um caminho socialista onde a classe trabalhadora teve importante influência nas consequências deste recorte. As manifestações, proibidas anteriormente, borbulhavam em todo o país, bem como greves, paralisações, reivindicações, autogestão, autocontrole e saneamentos de ex membros do antigo regime. Aponta-se que as mulheres operárias e trabalhadoras agrícolas e trabalhadoras domésticas tiveram destacado papel nas conquistas de Abril. Especificamente, analisar-se-á o caso da empresa têxtil Sogantal, constituída por 48 mulheres entre os 14 e 23 anos, que entrou em autogestão após expulsarem os antigos patrões que pretendiam declarar falência e não pagar as indenizações devidas. Metodologicamente, serão analisados jornais de empresas, periódicos como o Avante!, Combate e Revolução - dentre outros -, documentos oficiais e debate bibliográfico. A historiografia portuguesa ainda é escassa em trabalhos que evidenciem uma análise não da “história das mulheres”, mas sim de inserir o papel histórico destas nos acontecimentos que se desenrolam na linha temporal. É sublime destacar, portanto, que a relação entre gênero e história deve ser criticamente utilizada para se perceber profundamente o passado e, neste caso, as lutas e conquistas partidas de uma ruptura revolucionária. This article aims to put into dialogue issues about gender as an analytical category in the field of history, in order to problematize and discuss the study of women workers in the Portuguese revolutionary period, specifically the case of self-management of the company Sogantal. Portugal breaks with a fascist regime that had lasted almost half a century, ending this period with April 25, 1974. This period is markedly important in the history of the country under a revolutionary experience, with guidelines for a socialist path where the working class had an important influence on the consequences of this cut. Demonstrations, previously banned, bubbled up throughout the country, as well as strikes, stoppages, claims, self-management, selfcontrol and reorganization of former members of the former regime. It is noteworthy that women agricultural workers and domestic workers had a prominent role in the achievements of April. Specifically, the case of the textile company Sogantal, made up of 48 women between 14 and 23 years old, who went into self-management after expelling former employers who wanted to declare bankruptcy and did not pay the due compensation, will be analyzed. Methodologically, we will analyze company newspapers, periodicals such as Avante!, Combate and Revolução - among others -, official documents and bibliographical debate. Portuguese historiography is still scarce in works that show an analysis not of the “history of women”, but of inserting their historical role in the events that unfold in the timeline. It is sublime to point out, therefore, that the relationship between gender and history must be critically used to deeply understand the past and, in this case, the struggles and achievements stemming from a revolutionary rupture.
