dc.description.abstractO meio jornalístico e o meio político estabelecem entre si uma relação que muitos autores têm classificado como indissociável, umbilical e simbiótica. Como resultado, o contexto profissional dos jornalistas e das figuras políticas obriga-os a estarem em contacto permanentemente: as figuras políticas são fontes de informação importantíssimas para conferir credibilidade e qualidade ao trabalho jornalístico e, por sua vez, os órgãos de comunicação social são uma ferramenta política essencial para a comunicação e visibilidade políticas. Sendo este um relacionamento tão regular, é legítimo que haja uma influência mútua entre os profissionais. Neste trabalho, concentramo-nos na influência desta relação na construção dos temas que constituem as agendas política e mediática. Depois de uma abordagem teórica ao assunto, apresentamos um estudo sobre a perspetiva e a experiência dos jornalistas da revista Visão. Pudemos concluir, através dos inquéritos e das entrevistas, que a maioria dos jornalistas inquiridos considera que os políticos influenciam a forma como selecionam e dispõe os temas na agenda da Visão, mas não a maneira como tratam e expõem esses conteúdos. A maioria admitiu já ter trabalhado em artigos cujo tema tivesse partido de uma dica de uma fonte de informação da área da política. Relativamente à influência da relação jornalista-político na agenda política, os resultados, em concordância com a bibliografia, dividem opiniões.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThe journalistic and the political environments establish a relationship among them that many authors have classified as inseparable, umbilical and symbiotic. As a result, the professional context of journalists and political figures compels them to be in permanent contact: political figures are important sources of information to ensure credibility and quality to journalistic work and, in turn, the media are an essential political tool for communication and political visibility. Being such a regular relationship, a mutual influence between the two professionals is legitimate. In this work, we focus on the influence of this relationship in the construction of the subjects that constitute the political and media agendas. After a theoretical approach to the subject, we present a study about the perspective and experience of the journalists of the portuguese newsmagazine Visão. Through surveys and interviews, we can conclude that the majority of journalists surveyed feel that politicians have influence on how they select and determine the topics of the Visão agenda, but not on the way they treat and expose them. Most of them admitted having worked on articles whose theme was based on a hint from a political source. Regarding the influence of the journalist-politician relationship on the political agenda, the results are not conclusive, in agreement with the bibliography.pt_PT
