dc.description.abstractA simetria visual e sonora do órgão ibérico terá o seu ponto culminante no conjunto de órgãos sêxtuplos da Real Basílica do Palácio de Mafra, erigidos pelos mestres organeiros António Xavier Machado e Cerveira e Joaquín Antonio Pérez Fontanes entre 1792 e 1807. O repertório poli-organístico mafrense era secundado por diretórios litúrgicos que reservavam a um maior grau de solenidade uma maior magnitude sonora, constituindo um dos pontos fulcrais do aparato ritual consagrador do poder régio.en
