Os Alunos de Lumière - Experiência de inclusão do Cinema na Didática da História da Cultura e das Artes

Abstract

O presente estudo decorre da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, realizada no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino da História no 3.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário. Foi desenvolvido na Escola Secundária Miguel Torga, em Monte Abraão/ Massamá, no concelho de Sintra, com uma turma do 11.º ano de Ensino Secundário, na disciplina de História da Cultura e das Artes. Neste projeto versámos sobre a introdução da aprendizagem do, e com, o Cinema, utilizando esta área disciplinar, de forma didática, para tentar perceber quais as potencialidade da sua inclusão na disciplina de História da Cultura e das Artes para a compreensão de conteúdos, relevância da arte cinematográfica em si, e benefícios para a melhoria da literacia visual daí decorrente. As estratégias e metodologias desenvolvidas consistiram em sínteses dos contributos teóricos e práticos anteriores, tendo sido adaptadas à turma, privilegiando o caráter de fonte histórica dos filmes, e o cariz processual e construtivista de uma aprendizagem desta natureza. Através das opções metodológicas tomadas e dos resultados obtidos, demonstramos quais as possibilidades de introdução do Cinema e seus contributos para a formação do conhecimento histórico dos alunos, em História da Cultura e das Artes.

The present study stems from the Supervised Teaching Practice, carried out within the framework of the Masters Degree in Teaching History in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education. It was developed at the Miguel Torga Secondary School, in Monte Abraão / Massamá, in the municipality of Sintra, with a class of the 11th year of Secondary Education, in the discipline of History of Culture and Arts. In this project we deal with the introduction of the learning of, and with, Cinema, using this disciplinary area in a didactic way, to try to understand the potential of its inclusion in the discipline of History of Culture and Arts for the understanding of contents, relevance of cinematographic art itself, and benefits for the improvement of the resulting visual literacy. The strategies and methodologies developed consisted of syntheses of the previous theoretical and practical contributions, being adapted to the class, privileging the character of historical source of the films, and the procedural and constructivist nature of a learning of this nature. Through the methodological options taken and the results obtained, we demonstrate the possibilities of introducing the Cinema and its contributions to the formation of the students' historical knowledge in History of Culture and Arts.
