A cobertura noticiosa da SIC sobre as Regiões Autónomas Portuguesas

Abstract

Com o título “A cobertura noticiosa da SIC sobre as Regiões Autónomas Portuguesas”, o presente relatório analisa a presença e frequência de peças jornalisticas sobre os arquipélagos da Madeira e dos Açores, que constituem as duas Regiões Autónomas da República Portuguesa. Pretende perceber de que forma se constitui o processo das peças, se nasce de uma sugestão dos correspondentes ou por imposição da atualidade, característica de que vive o jornalismo. Para uma melhor compreensão, recorre à revisão da literatura sobre o tema; à análise das peças jornalísticas transmitidas no Primeiro Jornal e Jornal da Noite da SIC; à experiência empírica possibilitada pelo estágio e a entrevistas aos correspondentes da estação de Carnaxide nas ilhas. Com esta sinergia, percebemos que ainda há muito a investigar sobre a cobertura do jornalismo televisivo nacional face às Regiões Autónomas, territórios geográficamente dispersos e distantes, mas cujas gentes, tradições e modos de viver estão cada vez mais «perto» por força dos ecrãs das televisões nacionais.

With the title “A cobertura noticiosa da SIC sobre as Regiões Autónomas Portuguesas”, this report analyses the presence and frequency of media coverage in the archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores, which constitute the two Autonomous Regions of the Portuguese Republic. It intends to perceive how the process of media coverage is made, if it is born from a suggestion of the correspondents or by imposition of current events, characteristic on which journalism is based. For a better understanding, it recourses to the literature review on the subject; to the analysis of the news articles transmitted in Primeiro Jornal and Jornal da Noite; to the empirical experience made possible through the internship and to interviews with the correspondents of the Carnaxide broadcast in the islands. With this synergy, we realize that there is still much to investigate about the national television journalistic coverage towards the Autonomous Regions, geographically dispersed and distant territories, but whose people, traditions and ways of living are increasingly «close» by the strength of the national television channels screens.
