A promoção do património arqueológico classificado em Portugal - uma proposta para a dinamização dos concelhos de Lisboa, Oeiras, Cascais e Sintra

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio, realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Arqueologia da NOVA FCSH, foca o tema da salvaguarda do património arqueológico, pretendendo ser um contributo em áreas chave como a inventariação, a classificação, a sensibilização e a divulgação. O estágio aqui apresentado decorreu na Direcção Geral do Património Cultural (DGPC), entidade responsável pela gestão do património nacional, nomeadamente pela inventariação e classificação dos bens imóveis, tendo as tarefas realizadas incidido em três pontos principais: analisar um conjunto de fichas de inventário de património classificado da base de dados Ulysses; contribuir para a actualização e ampliação do número de sítios arqueológicos classificados nos concelhos estudados; e propor uma rota turística, composta por arqueossítios classificados, de modo a contribuir para a sua salvaguarda. Como contributo científico este relatório pretende apresentar também uma reflexão actual sobre as dificuldades que o património arqueológico (e também o arquitectónico) passa após a sua inventariação e classificação, apontando formas de evitar que tal aconteça. Para além disso, dado que a protecção legal de bens culturais continua a ser fundamental para a sua protecção, avançou-se com uma proposta de classificação, o que permitiu ficar a conhecer melhor o desenrolar desse processo, bem como o papel central da DGPC nesta área.

This internship report, carried out within the framework of the Master’s in Archaeology of the NOVA FCSH, focuses on the theme of safeguarding the archaeological heritage, aiming to be a contribution in key areas such as inventory, classification, awareness and divulgation. The internship presented here was held in the Direcção Geral do Património Cultural (DGPC), the entity responsible for managing the national heritage, namely by inventory and classification of immovable property, having the taskes carried out focused on three main points: analyze a set of inventory records of classified heritage of the Ulysses database; contribute to the uptadatin and expansion of the number of archaeological sites classified in the counties studied; and to propose a tourist route, made up of classified arqueosites, in order to contribute to its safeguard. As scientific contribution, this report also intends to present a current refletion on the difficulties that the archaeological (and also the architectural) heritage passes after its inventory and classification, pointing out ways to prevent this from happening. Moreover, given that the legal protection of cultural goods continues to be essential for its protection, a proposal for classification as been made, which has made it possible to gain a better understanding of the process and the central role of the DGPC in this area.
