Resumo(s)

O presente trabalho tem como objectivo principal desenvolver o conhecimento sobre os pesos de tear exumados nas intervenções arqueológicas no sítio das Almoínhas, intervencionado pelo Museu Municipal de Loures (1995-2002) e pela empresa ERA-Arqueologia (2005/2006). Sito no actual concelho de Loures, tem uma ocupação comprovada entre o início do século II e a primeira metade do século VI d.C.. Trata-se de um sítio com uma arquitectura complexa, de diferentes funcionalidades, nomeadamente através de um edifício habitacional, um edifício associado a possíveis trabalhos produtivos, uma área de lixeira, uma área necropolar, parcialmente escavada e estudada, e três fornos de produção cerâmica, com os quais parte do espólio em análise poderá estar relacionado (acumulações de materiais junto a estas estruturas). Sobre o sítio de Almoínhas já se encontram estudados os conjuntos de cerâmicas finas e ânforas, os quais, aliados a uma remontagem estratigráfica, permitem que actualmente exista uma crono-estratigrafia da ocupação já bastante bem delineada. Tendo em consideração os dados crono-estratigráficos do sítio, analisar-se-á este conjunto de pesos de tear, constituído por algumas dezenas de exemplares, que se apresenta como inovador para o conhecimento do ager de Olisipo, pelo seu conjunto de decorações e grafitos, temática praticamente desconhecida na bibliografia sobre a região. The main objective of the present work is to develop knowledge on the loom weights exhumed during the archaeological interventions at Almoínhas, which was intervened by Loures´ City Council Museum (1995-2002) and by the company ERA-Arqueologia (2005/2006). Located in the present-day municipality of Loures, its occupation is dated between the beginning of the 2nd century and the first half of the 6th century AD. This is a site with a complex architecture, from different functionalities, namely through a residential building, a building associated with possible productive work, a rubbish dump area, a partially excavated and studied necropolis area and three ceramic production kilns, to which part of the remains under analysis may be related to (accumulations of materials next to these structures). The sets of fine ceramics and amphorae from Almoínhas have already been studied, and, together with a stratigraphic reassembly, allow for the existence of a well-defined chrono-stratigraphy of the occupation. Taking into consideration the chronostratigraphic data of the site, we will analyse this set of loom weights, constituted by some dozens of specimens, which presents itself as innovative for the knowledge of the Olisipo ager, due to its set of decorations and graffiti, a theme practically unknown in the bibliography of the region.
