Criação de manual de introdução à tradução audiovisual para a empresa Buggin Media

Abstract

O presente relatório descreve o estágio curricular que realizei na Buggin Media. Durante os três meses de estágio, fiz diversas traduções e legendagens de projetos escolhidos pela empresa. O estágio proporcionou-me um leque de oportunidades para adquirir novas competências, não só a nível da tradução audiovisual como também de noções de como funciona o mercado de trabalho nesta área. O relatório aborda a empresa de acolhimento e apresenta um capítulo teórico onde são abordados os ramos da tradução audiovisual que foram trabalhados durante o estágio: a legendagem, a dobragem, a tradaptação e a audiodescrição. A componente teórica deste relatório servirá como elo de ligação com o manual de introdução à tradução audiovisual. Este manual foi concebido com o objetivo de partilhar as experiências e o conhecimento que adquiri ao longo do estágio, reunindo assim informação necessária de diversos autores que abordam estes quatro ramos da tradução audiovisual num só documento. Este manual destina-se a futuros tradutores que pretendam enveredar por uma carreira na tradução audiovisual.

The present report describes the curricular internship I carried out at Buggin Media. During the three-month internship, I performed various translations and subtitling tasks for projects chosen by the company. The internship provided me with a range of opportunities to acquire new skills, not only in audiovisual translation but also in understanding how the job market functions in this field. This report addresses the host company and includes a theoretical chapter that discusses branches of audiovisual translation that were covered during the internship: subtitling, dubbing, transcreation, and audio description. The theoretical component of this report serves as a link to the introductory manual on audiovisual translation. This manual was designed with the aim of sharing the experiences and knowledge I acquired throughout the internship, gathering necessary information from various authors who address these four branches of audiovisual translation in a single document. This manual is intended for future translators who wish to pursue a career in audiovisual translation.
