Mercados ilícitos.

Abstract

En la posguerra española miles de familias se vieron inmersas en un clima de recelos y persecución, a los que sumó el hambre. A muchos no les quedó otro remedio que recurrir a ma-niobras de resistencia, entre las que estuvieron un buen número de prácticas ilícitas como el contra-bando. Hemos encarado aquí este fenómeno para el poco estudiado contexto de la frontera hispa-no-lusa con un particular enfoque combinado de Antropología e Historia. A partir de un trabajo de campo etnográfico complementado con consultas en fondos archivísticos españoles y lusos, nos he-mos interesado por las experiencias humanas y las nociones morales compartidas que se dieron a su alrededor. Concluimos que las dimensiones de aquel mercado ilícito nunca hubieran sido posibles sin una reformulación ética de las relaciones sociales. Un «nuevo orden moral circunstancial» del que participó buena parte de la sociedad, incluyendo aquellos que estaban destinados a evitarlos. In the spanish post-war period, thousands of families were immersed in a climate of suspicion and persecution, compounded by hunger. Many had no choice but to resort to resistance maneuvers, including several illicit practices such as smuggling. we have approached this phe-nomenon in the little-studied context of the spanish-portuguese border with a particular combined approach of anthropology and history. Based on ethnographic fieldwork complemented with con-sultations in spanish and portuguese archival collections, we have been interested in the human experiences and shared moral notions that surrounded it. we conclude that the dimensions of that illicit market would never have been possible without an ethical reformulation of social relations. a «new circumstantial moral order» in which much of society participated, including those who were meant to avoid them
