Gestão de Stocks de Artigos Tecnológicos numa Empresa de Retalho

Abstract

O mercado do retalho tecnológico é um mercado importante em Portugal, em termos logísticos, porque vivemos em um mundo cada vez mais dependente de artigos tecnológicos criando assim na população uma dependência deste tipo de artigos. Esta necessidade faz com que sejam necessárias melhorias em todo o processo garantindo assim que se entrega o artigo certo ao cliente certo no momento certo e no local certo. A Worten é uma empresa que atua neste setor do mercado e procura a melhoria contínua. Foi neste sentido que surgiu a necessidade da redução do valor total de stock de uma categoria de artigos comercializada pela empresa, Categoria 5108 - Operadores, que apresentava valores de stock que não justificavam as vendas líquidas realizadas, tornando necessária uma gestão de stocks mais eficiente dos artigos considerados. Com o intuito de melhorar a produtividade da categoria, procedeu-se à análise das características das vendas dos artigos, procedeu-se à alteração de um dos métodos de parametrização, o método SAM, alterando os seus atributos. Entre estes atributos foi considerada a alteração do Stock de Segurança com base no modelo de revisão periódica. A implementação das melhorias permitiu obter uma redução de 12% no valor dos artigos em stock, valor 2% superior ao proposto pela empresa.

The technology retail market is one of the most attractive markets in Portugal, in logisti-cal terms, because we live in a world that is increasingly dependent on technological devices, thus creating an exponentially growing dependency on this type of item. This need makes improvements in the entire process necessary to ensure that the right item is delivered to the right customer at the right time and at the right place. Worten is also a company that operates in this market sector and seeks continuous im-provement, and it was in this sense that the need arose to reduce the total value of stock of a category of the company that is called Category 5108 - Operators. The same category had high stock values that did not justify the net sales made, so a more efficient inventory management of the articles considered was necessary. In order to improve the productivity of the category, were analyzed all the characteristics necessary for the management of the same, thus managing to find where changes could be made to ensure the reduction of total value of stock. It was then decided to change one of the parameterization methods, the SAM method, changing its attributes. Among these attributes it was considered to change the Safety Stock based on a periodic review model. After the improvements were applied, there was a 12% reduction in the stock value, 2% higher than what was initially proposed by the company.
